    Potential cork problem

    Thanks or all the replies. When I saw all the bottles with the corks wet so far up the first thing that went through my mind, was my wife and I may need to step up our rate of consumption. The batch turned out so good it may not last long enough to really worry about.

    Potential cork problem

    The wine has been in the bottles for almost 2 1/2 months. These are standard bottles, not screw tops and all uniform in size. Will keep an eye on them to make sure the wine doesn't reach the end. Thanks for the reassurance! Will be going to size 9 for the next round of corking.

    Potential cork problem

    Just started making wine and bottle my first batch. It has been in the bottles for a couple months now and just noticed the corks are wet 3/4ths the way up. Not to the end though... Used standard bottles and size 8 corks. Is this ok? Or should I consider recorking? Thanks for the help!
