The guy who turned me onto paklab kits is that guy on youtube called "sicilianprince".
He has side-by-side videos of the paklab borolo and a Winexpert high-end borolo kit. You may want to check him out. I do know he likes to add oak powder & chips to the paklab kits.
I use 6gal PET bottles for fermenting and I age in the bottle. I wouldn't bulk age in PET, but only because it would stick in the back of my head. I don't have any science on that decision.

OMG! I just started this same exact kit. Started March 31st! I started the Chard side-by-side with the Tuscany Red. Both fermented in 5.1 gallons with SuperB. SuperB is supposed to bring Italian authenticity since it's "from Italy".
