I used to make a lot of elderberry wine 20 odd years ago and used 1gallon demijohns. The glass was very thick and they weren't cheap... I've never seen one bigger than a gallon and thought that's what a carboy was so pretty confused lol I was living in England when making the elderberry but now...
To bottle or not to bottle....
I'm thinking of storing my wines in the demijohns then bottling in screw top wine bottles just before drinking, does anyone else do that??
I really want to try making Skeeter Pee (why is it called that?) with real lemons and also don't understand why do you have to use dead yeast from a previous wine???
