It sounds like you have the makings of quite a party! I'm still a couple of months away from bottling my first batch of vino rosso and the Riesling fermenting in my primary is smelling good. I can't wait!!
I didn't take a temp of the must I'm afraid. Didn't have a thermometer and instructions didn't request it but maybe that is my next purchase. I've read that EC1118 is a vigorous yeast so maybe the belt wasn't necessary for the entire time. Good thing to know.

About to start my first batch (yahoo!) using Vino Italiano Tuscany Rosso kit. I have been collecting bottles and began wondering if I can use #8 corks in screw top bottles. Has anyone tried or is it asking for problems? Thanks for any assistance you can give me!
