Does it make any sense to treat bare root vines at planting with fungicide? I have planted about 100 vines and have some spray left.

I can't see any real advantage to unplanted vines. Maybe after they are planted it would do some good, but I am not sure how much.

Just make sure it's not too hot when you spray, preferably at dusk.

Thanks. I was just thinking spraying after I planted and before the leaves emerge. Just to get ahead of diseases in the new vineyard which is about 100 vines. I cant use the Bourdeaux mix after emergence since it leads to foliar injury

I've only heard that BDX cause damage if it's too hot regardless of the age, never heard of it damaging new vines but I could be wrong. That's why I always spray at dusk just to be safe. A safer alternative is nettle tea which also helps to improve sap flow and strengthen the plants own immune system.
