I have only had the pleasure of tasting 3 of these wines..

Barone Ricasoli Chianti Classico Castello di Brolio 2006

Columbia Crest, Cabernet Sauvignon Columbia Valley Reserve 2005

Renato Ratti Barolo Marcenasco 2005

and they were outstanding!! Still, the best wine I have ever tasted was a 1995 Opus One.

There is such a thing as cellar palate (where you end up only likeing your own wines). I make it a point to taste wines other than my own from time to time.

Yes John, you are right and 1995 Opus One was really very soft in taste. It is one of the finest winery and Columbia Crest Cabernet Sauvignon 2005 lifts up the mood of any party or get together.

I had it about 8 months ago... I had to sit down!!!!

I really like the Barone Ricasoli Chianti Classico, I still have 6 bottles of that vintage. I lucked into a whole case at $8.00 a bottle!!!!!!!!
