I started to use synthetic cork and before I had to put the bottles upright for 3 days before storing them on their side with the natural cork.

Is it the same for the Synthetic cork?

You really should leave them upright for a few days to insure the cork has fully sealed before you MAY turn them on their sides. The difference is that the synthetic corks do not have to be turned on their sides to keep the cork moist to prevent leakage. If you want to store your wine upright in boxes, the syntetic corks are a better idea.

Thanks appleman, did not know I could let the bottles upright all the time with synthetic cork.

Thanks

Synthetic's are great if your wine rack space is limited. I keep several cases of wine in a cold cellar in boxes until there is room for them on the rack.

Salute!
