Swapping wine with fellow winemakers via a contest?

I had 10 gallons of apple wine that did not turn out well at all a few years ago. I didn't allow anyone other than myself to have a single sip.

It seemed to take forever to finish it. If I go share, I'm bringing my good stuff.

Life is too short to drink bad wine. As much as it hurts I have poured wine down the drain rather than drink something I really don't like. Leaves more time to drink the good stuff.

The important thing, which is far more valuable than the wine itself, is to figure out what went wrong. I never dump anything unless I know what happened and what steps are needed to make sure it never happens again. Only then will I dump a wine. I agree that life is too short!
