I started some cranberry currant wine last weekend and racked out of the pail to glass last night. Ended up with 2 3/4 gallons.
It looks like V-8, I know, but I have high hopes for this batch.
Next morning, after sitting overnight, the sediment is building! (Too
early in the morning for Zoe, the dog over on the left - just been fed
and time for that nap.)
If this color holds as it clarifies I'll be a happy home vintner!
Starting SG was about 1.096 and I racked into glass at about 1.015.
Plan is to add house toast oak at next racking. At bottling I will pull
a little aside to blend with brandy for several bottles of something
special.
I'll try to post again as it progresses.
