KRAKATOA!!!!
My first Pineapple wine completed primary and secondary fermentation, I sent it to a clean carboy with some K-meta. I plan on letting it bulk age for 4-6 months before bottling. Every time i looked I saw CO2 bubbles trickling along the sides. Today I thought, let me hit that with my electric drill degasser to help it settle and clear. I could not believe how quick it exploded into a volcano. This is my first fruit wine, is this typical to get so much gas?
for sure the Krakatoa concept will get on the label for this wine.

Welcome to the volcano club. If I think its going to happen I remove 1/2 to 1 gallon of wine first. As it tames down you can slowly add the wine back in. Also if you rack this bit off into a gallon jug you could shake that up also to degas the wine you added to it.
