Looks like I won't be doing the kits I wanted to do this year. A friend has 20 pounds of red plums and 60+ pounds of peaches in the freezer, all destoned and quartered, and his wife wants wine. I usually do it for him on the halves. He provides the fruit and all the sugar, I make the wine, we split it 50/50. I get all the bottles back too. I can't figure how it is all that bad of a deal really. I still have 8 gallons of '04 muscadine and 5 gallons of '04Scuppernong a long way from bottles. This will be another 5 gallons of plum and at least 15 gallons of peach wine. I love peach wine. I don't add anything 'cept peaches, sugar, and spring water. (besides the usual suspects) Lalvin D-47 works fine and dandy.

Are you following a recipe? Peaches should be, if not already, in season near me very soon. I wouldnt mind a few pointers on making a fruit wine from scratch.

Thanks.
