Hello everyone. I was just wondering if anybody has any experience in oaking flower wines. I currently have 6 gallons of Lilac in the primary and having never made a flower wine before I was thinking about how I should finish it up. I do not drink a lot of white wines but love oak in reds. Any thoughts or eperience would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

I've never made any flower wines either but lilac gives me the impression of a lighter more delicate wine. I'm thinking the oak would be overpowering to the flavor.

Sounds good, thanks for the advice. The taste I had when I transferred to the secondary was certainly a subtle delicate wine, so I don't think I will be altering it much.

Cheers
