Anyone using seed heating mats under carboys? If so, how many can you get on them?

I've used them for seeds. I'm sure they vary in size but the ones I've used could probably hold 4-6 six gallon carboys. If you have used them before you know that they can get pretty hot. I wouldn't put a glass carboy on a germination mat directly.

Just looked for these on Amazon and the vast majority are 10" x 20.75" in size. Mine are much bigger than that, I think closer to 20" x 48" in size.

If you use a heating pad or mat, my suggestion is to stand it between carboys, it has worked well for me in the past. Heating a carboy directly on the bottom with a layer of lees can produce some funky flavors. The side heating has the added benefit of creating a convection current that helps to circulate the wine.
