Purchased a gal kit. Received some yeast nutrient and energizer tabs along with Campden tabs & pectin enzyme from a friend who no longer makes wine. Are these items still okay to use? :?
 
Hard to say...The campden, crush 3 tabs and dissolve them in a pint of water. take a whiff (DO NOT TAKE A BIG SNIFF!!!!!) to see if the SO2 is still being outgassed. You will know.

Nutrient and energizer probably are fine, but these chemicals are cheap, you might just want to replace to be safe.
 
Sulfites dont really have a shelf life nor does energizer or nutrient as long as they are not all clumped up. Pectic enzyme is about a year so Id replace that.
 
I am in the process of Strawberry wine. So far it is in the primary , must has all ingredients except yeast. SG was at 1.080. I guess next step is to .... read the book?????
