I am getting ready to make a Vintner's Harvest Black Current and Vintner's Harvest Cherry mix. I was planning on a 6 gallon batch one cane of each. Any advice woud be appreciated as this is my first attempt at a fruit wine.

Thanks Adam

Follow directions, sanitize, ask any questions and mostly patience.

Make more while waiting!

Relax, have a good time. Follow the steps you have learned making kits, don't hesitate to ask specific questions. Use good sanitary methods, and relax.

One word of advice is to read the k-meta solution instructions very carefully if you are not using campden tablets!!!! Trust me and a few others as we sulfited the crap out of our wine and mine wouldnt even ferment and had to dump it all, 2 6 gallon batches many years ago!

Heed wades advice and dont just arbitrarily use the sugar amount listed on the can either. Start at about 75% of recommended amount and adjust slowly until you reach your target sg
