Fall Blends

Hello,
I will be purchasing grapes from Lanza-Musto vineyards this year via M&M. I intend to purchase red grapes and enough to fill my 44gallon Brute & my 32 gallon Brute. I want each blend to contain a blend of something else but I'm not sure what to blend it with. Help needed

- Batch 1 (44 gallon): Cabernet Sauvignon. I thought about getting some merlot or malbec to blend it with. 85% CS, 7% Malbec and 8% Merlot.

- Batch 2 (32 Gallon): Peitie Sirah. 85% PS and maybe 15% OVZ? I don't have much experience with PS but I've tasted some very good ones.

I intend to ferment all wines separately and then blend after MLF.

Any thoughts and suggestions?

IMHO,

I would blend the Cab Sav with merlot (80% / 20%).... A classic blend if ever there was one.

I would leave the petit sarah alone. PS is such a great wine in itself.

(again, this is just my opinion!)
