I am at the fining stage for Eclipse Savignon Blanc kit. The directions warn not to rack following secondary but rather to stir lees up from bottom, degass vigorously, add sulfites and finally kitosol pack. I followed directions using my drill to vigorously degas. Now there is a scum on top of the wine and the wine is not clearing six days later. The wine smells fine. Should I refine or just wait. I attached a photo of the carboy. I hope you can see it. Thanks. Gary

Looks to me like it wasn't quite finished. When you stirred it up, you gave it another burst of oxygen and the yeasties decided to feed some more. Give it some more time, then you will have to degass again. The way to tell for sure is with hydrometer readings. What was it when you started to degass? Bet it is getting lower now. Arne.
