WineXpert Cabernet Sauvignon (Vinter's Reserve)

A friend of mine presented me with this kit as a gift, knowing that I was getting into making wine. I will probably give him a few bottles back when I get it made, so I am hoping that it will be drinkable. I understand from my reading up on it that it might be a little on the weak side. Anybody have any ideas how I might be able to help it along? Would it help to make it as 5 gal instead of 6? Any thoughts would be appreciated. By date code it is a Jan 13, 2011 Kit.

I would make it just like it is, I have made 4 of those kits and think it is the best Cab around

I agree. Don't mess with the kit. It will be a nice lighter cab and you can use it as a top up wine if its thinner than you like.
