Broccoli, Cauliflower and Bell Pepper

Just tasted a buddies 05 Zin made from my grapes - slight hints of Broccoli, Cauliflower and Bell Pepper ---- Does this qualify as 'vegetal'?


In short I would probably drink the remaining bottle he gave me after several other good bottles, so as my senses would already be dulled!

Yep, that is vegetal alright! When were the grapes harvested? Did they get enough hang time? What were the numbers? It sure sounds like unripe grapes, or your buddy left far too many stems in with the crush and primary fermentation.
