That is correct for the first several transfers until you noticed that you do not have much more co2 left and then I would drop the racking tube down further so there would be less chance of any o2 induction.

You will find out that most winemakers have there own way of doing things and that is why I enjoy it soo much ! Take all the information you can get and then make a educated decision and hopefully everything will go well.
