In another post on the forum (in the wine section), I mentioned that I'm trying my first hand at mead.
It is currently clearing - slowly but surely - and I was just wondering how long (roughly) does it take before it's drinkable? I've read 2 years, I've read 6 months, and everything in between.
I understand that it takes longer than wine to mature/age, but when could I even start to think of cracking open a bottle? I will be bottling my mead in my little 187 ml bottles, so I would think aging would go a bit quicker in those than in 750 ml ones.
Thanks!
Martina
