    Clear...not Clear...

I've finished two batches of skeeter pee. The first one turned out perfectly clear and the second is really hazy. The only difference is that I kicked up the alcohol percent on the second batch. I didn't use and clearing agents on either batch. Thoughts?

    Watermelon wine problem???

I am planning on racking my first attempt at watermelon wine tomorrow and noticed a white substance on the top of my secondary fermenter. Is this mold? What should I do? Patrick

    My luck...typical! Will they survive?

So the 10 day forecast showed no temperatures below freezing. I decided to plant my blueberries and my grapes yesterday. This morning when I woke up I wondered whether I should even put on a jacket because it was supposed to be so warm today. Much to my surprise it was 32°! When I looked at my...

Hello all. I've been making wine about a year from fresh or frozen fruit and decided to try making 3 gallons of cherry wine from a can of cherries. The instructions say to put a campden tablet per gallon at the second racking. The must is still very active. I've never seen a recipe for that with...

So what about the fruit, lard, press and sausage-stuffer antiques?

I've been making wine for a little over a year now and have realized its pretty tough to press fruits like apples by hand. Now it makes sense why grapes are processed by foot.... So I've been looking at the old Enterprise presses that were for fruit, lard, making sausage and so on. Is this the...
