It's started new batch of wine yesterday. Got my juice in primary and opened up the grape pack it there's mold in it!!! I've contacted the store I bought it from but no word yet. Is my juice ruined? Should I continue with adding yeast and such and put in grape pack later? Is everything ruined?

Tried it today. So tart. Kinda bad smell. Will add more sugar and see what happens. Just nasty!!!

I have several kits going. It's getting expensive buying wine to top them off with every time I rack. I'm new at this so have no wine I've finished yet. Can I just use that vacuum to suck the air out and not top off with a similar wine?

I have added the campden tabs so far. That's it.

I'm a newbie for sure. Two months ago decided my first wine would be peach. Ordered a can of peaches with directions for a three gallon batch. Did everything as indicated on the label. Now two months later after I learn about gas ........ Well my land!!!!! It's loaded with gas and kinda stinks...

I just have a stirrer on a drill motor. Should I rack first before more stirring? There appears to be sediment in the bottom of the carboy. Thanks so much for the advice.

I've gone through all the steps for skeeter pee down to the clearing stage. After adding the clearing agent it's starting to bubble. Could it be refermenting? It's down to .0995.

I've tried and tried for a long time with the drill to degas and it's not happening. I gave up and went to next instructions to the clearing stage. Anybody else have gas problems on pee?

I shouldn't have I know. But my skeeter pee stinks like chemicals. It's time to put it in the secondary and I tasted it. Blech!!!!! Think it's ruined or shall I carry on? It's still bubbling away and foaming. It's at about 1000.

When you use the Alexander's and add jelly or fruits and things like that, when do you add them? I'm very new here.

My skeeter pee is in the primary. I've been whipping it to add oxygen to get it fermenting good. Boy it has a bad chemical type smell. Not the rotten egg smell I've been reading about. Any ideas?

Why do you have to wait 24 hours to pitch the yeast?

Has anyone tried this? If so what did you think and when did you add it? I'm wanting a heavy oak taste.
