    Ferrari Automatic Bottle Filler

I decided to give one of these a try. It worked good for my first use. I did not make much of a mess compared to the bottle filling wand. The tubing did fit a little loose and I had to be careful to not pull it off. A simple tubing clamp should fix that. It is well worth the $15 for me to save...

    Wine Cooler

I received a wine cooler for a birthday gift. Too bad we noticed the corner was dented after unpacking. Hopefully a replacement will be found today. It was similar to this one. I will have to post some updated photos of the recently bottled additions.

Will work for food... and wine.

We have a small local winery that has a harvesting event in July. Free food and wine. I might have to go this year. It is interesting, we looked at a house to purchase there. If the directions to your house include turn of the paved road.... you might be a redneck...

    Fresh Blueberry

Berry picking season will be here soon. June 5 - 20 is the average start date. I read a few recipes and may have questions on that later. I am looking for suggestions on how to select the best fruit. Would it be a good idea to freeze and crush before using a steam juicer? I was thinking of just...

    Spigot leaking

I have had nothing but trouble with the fermenting bucket spigot. I took it apart. Cleaned up opening in the bucket again. Then re-assembled. It sat for hours tonight with no leaks. I moved it into a large plastic bin and added water with bentonite, still no leaks. Added riesling kit. Still no...

    Waste no wine...

I have some Blackberry wine left over after topping off. It has a flavor pack. The leftover amount is about one wine bottle maybe? I do not have a drilled stopper to fit a wine bottle to fit an airlock. I could possibly modify a twist top bottle to hold the airlock. Any other ideas?

    Cornelius Keg

In my search for wine bottles I found a source for Cornelius Kegs that someone wants to get rid of. They are 5 gallons that might work for my experimental batches. Would these be good for a secondary fermenter? It would not be hard to setup an airlock. It is cheaper than sky-rocketing price of...

    Shelf life of ingredients

Many of the fruit and juice recipes have ingredients that are available in larger packages for a better price. If I buy a pound of the following ingredients, how long would they stay good for? Would it be better to pay more for 1 or 2 oz bottles for each batch? Acid Blend Dry Pectic Enzyme...
