I've used Wades recipe before and it was fabulous. This time I just wanted to add a little chocolate flavor to a finished strawberry wine and see how it goes. Might test the Hershey's and the chocolate vodka and the chocolate liqueur and see what one works better. Thanks for all the ideas :d
I have strawberry wine that is ready to bottle. I would like to try and add some chocolate to some of it. Was thinking chocolate liqueur, chocolate vodka? Anyone ever try this? Thoughts?
Thanks,
I got about 10 gallons of juice out of 95 lbs of strawberries. The steamer worked great but thought it would yield a little more juice. Of course with hardly any sediment to rack off of I'm sure in the end it will yield more wine. I mixed 1 gallon of water with 3 gallons of pure juice. Started...
So I'm in the process of steaming strawberries. I have a few questions.
How do you know your done steaming a batch? It looks like the berries are still wet in the top pot, but nothing has come out of the hose in 10 minutes or so. I probably got 2 gallons of juice out of the full pot. No clogs I...
So how are you making your base? After your base you're just going to add almond extract? I was going to try that also. Could you give me the recipe that you are using? Thanks:D
I made a 5 gallon batch with 1 large box of tea bags (100). Boiled 1 gallon of water with tea bags for 10 minutes then let sit until cool. Topped with sugar and water to 5 gallon mark (1.090). Fermented dry then added the zest of 2 oranges. Let that sit 1 week. Racked off orange zest. It turned...
I put 2lbs of skittles in my 5 gallon batch as a fp. How long should I leave them in there? I would think the flavor is in the colorful outside. So once all the color is off I should rack? Or maybe just let it sit and see if it drops out?
I'll be waiting to hear from others also. I only had to add a couple of pounds to get to 1.90. If I would have added 2lbs per gallon sheesh rocket fuel or very sweet in the end.
I want to make a grapefruit wine. I've read the recipes on here. What does everyone think about using juice instead of the actual fruit? And how much per gallon?
As per the directions, the filter pad goes in first, then the "A" towards the pad support disc next, then the locking ring. So the locking ring pushes against the black support plate.
