    REVIEW: *Whole House Wine Filtering*

Question for vacuumpumpman... I've been leaning towards this system for the better part of a year...but this thread is really long, and I have read through it, but I have lingering doubts that I could purchase everything I need to complete the setup with little or no aggravation. It seems...

    Hello from Navarre Beach, FL

I guess I'm whining about the cost of bottles, from $13 case to $19...carboys are a lot more down here, but then I have enough already. Everything else can be ordered and shipped, so it's really not such a big deal. I'll still visit my newest retailer...it is what it is!

    Hello from Navarre Beach, FL

February 2014 - Just moved back to my FL hometown after 10 years in WV, although working in the DC area. There are two retailers for beer and wine supplies up north that I frequented (I prefer making wine, of course), but seems there is only one retailer in the NW FL panhandle, The Shady Lady...

    REVIEW: *Whole House Wine Filtering*

Great write up...I think I might go ahead and invest in the Whole House System with the pump. I purchased a (used) Buon Mini Jet and used it today to filter my Mango wine (#2 filter). Wasn't too thrilled with the loss (around 20 ounces due to residuals in carboy, some leakage and filter...

    Hanna Instruments - pH Tester

That's what I was looking for! I have a blackberry must I'll add yeast to tomorrow night, and the must did came right at 3.4, so that's a good start. I don't have sodium hydroxide, but will get some tomorrow and see what happens with TA. Thanks for making it a little easier!

    Hanna Instruments - pH Tester

I'm still hunting for the quick and skinny on how to use the Hanna pH tester...I bought one, have seen the articles in this forum, but still don't have a real good idea about what I do when I test the must. I am also reading Jack Keller's web for more information, but I am a bit confused...

    Pineapple and Paw Paw Wines

Yep, Stressbaby, I harvested the fruit myself - it grows wild around here! I am hoping the "Paw Paw Hootch" will temper over time...will try a bottle this time next year!

    Mulberry Wine

For my Fermenting Friends - I just harvested 22 pounds of mulberries! I laid out a tarp, and used my pole saw to shake the berries loose from the tree. I had what I needed in about 10 minutes...slick, eh? I am starting a Mulberry Wine tomorrow - I have enough to make a nice 3-gallon batch...

    Pineapple and Paw Paw Wines

The lighter wine is Pineapple Wine, and the darker wine is Paw Paw Wine! Pineapple - Just bottled 1 and 1/2 cases of homemade Pineapple Wine! This light bodied wine with medium acidity is crisp and refreshing on the palate. It has a light, sweet and tart taste, and it's filled with pleasant...

Strawberry wine recipe? Can you do this?

I used the same recipe, but tripled it for three gallons! Still aging, but has cleared nicely and preliminary tasting tells me it'll be a great wine!
