Check this out. I bought 3 of these. Took about an hour to assemble the first one and I am waiting to clear out my cellar until I build the next 2. I stained them with "gunstock" and they are a dark and beautiful color.

I originally wanted the cube variety but couldn't pass on the price for these. I got them for $70/free shipping. The size is perfect for me to put them in a little alcove in my basement and make it my wine cellar. They are a little shaky but mounted to the wall they will be solid.

Nice but in all reality if you have some wood working tools and knowledge $70.00 would buy quite a bit of lumber, and with those wavy boards with a support i bet you could make alot of racks!

Looking at the wooden closures I am wondering if they are wide enough that you could rip them on a table saw and get twice the product.

yes, you can. Like an I beam or flat stock of wood. 1/2 " on edge is 10 times the strength , than it would be lying flat.
