Will a refractometer remove the issue of measuring SG when a liquid is heavy with pulp?

I normally run my sample through a rather tight strainer first. I place the strainer into the must and then take my sample from there. Does this ensure a perfect level of accuracy? Well no, it does not. There IS going to be a lot of particulate matter that will change the all over reading of your must. The idea here is that the readings you get will be very close. Close enough to make most winemakers happy.
