I got an email from a fellow winemaker this morning saying that yesterday he found white spots on top of the WE California Trinity Red that he has in primary fermentation. He said that he stirred it in and that this morning the white spots were back. I asked for more information on the wine's vital statistics, but he hasn't gotten back to me yet. I've never heard of this. There are several threads here on WMT, but all of them are about white spots in carboys after fermentation is completed. Any thoughts?
