Joe, I honestly can't say too much about the Marquette yet. It's the first time I have used it as well as a lot of the others I have. The first tastes I have had were promising with already cherry and spice going on. The acid levels are more manageable than most of the new cold hardy varieties. I will certainly be giving more information on all these varieties in the coming months as they get closer to bottling.

APPLEMAN//is this from juice or grapes ? is it red or white? did it come from a fruit farm like (walkers) I know from buying from them that my niagara is just outstanding in color and flavor and has that foxy fraze attached to it,is this something similar?I believe it comes from the lambrossco family of grapes as most do from up north, interesting wines from there, usually semi/dry to sweet,do like them thought ,total change of pase from the base standard wines where use to,don't you think?

Joe all of the grapes listed are from grapes- either red or white under the categories listed above the groups. The Maquette in particular is a red. All of them either came from my own grapes or from grapes I got from our test planting down the road a bit. Very few of these have the lambrusca properties. They are all cold hardy varieties. The whites are fruity and the reds are, well reds(but without Concord tastes). If you haven't seen the thread yet, go under the form - Home Vineyards and look for the Champlain Valley Vineyard thread. It is quite long but you will find more information there.
