Watermellon smells funny

I made some watermelon wine a few months ago. It seemed it went fine and I got lucky and avoided it spoiling by letting it ferment cool. It had a nice watermelon smell. Well after a few months aging, it turning a lime green color, but is crystal clear, and it smells like musty watermelon. Does any one know if the color normal? And does any one know whats up with that musty smell? Has it gone bad somehow. Any imput would help thanks!

I only tried watermelon once and it was the only failure I have had. Right from the get go it smelled bad, can't tell about the taste as I never could talk myself into tasting it. guess I can't be much help with your problem, but somebody else will come on and help you with it. Good luck, Arne.
