Hi all. I had a stupid question but I am assuming when people are referencing specific gravity it is temperature corrected?

Thanks.

Presumably everyone is working within 21-25C temperature range. Wouldn't think there is a huge change in density in that range.

I don't think that everybody does the temperature correction. Wait a minute, I know that, because I don't. :i

Hydrometers are generally calibrated at 60F or 68F. Mine are the 68F kind, so I don't think it's important when my wines are generally about 72F. However, it might be more important if my hydrometer was calibrated at 60F.

From 68 to 80 were only talking like a .001-.002 difference, IMO not significant enough to consider.
