This is correct. It depends on what is being measured, e.g. a teaspoon of alcohol would be fewer grams than a teaspoon of water.

I worked the math out. 28.35 grams in 1 ounce and there were right at 11 teaspoons in my 2 ounces of tartaric acid. If I did my math right there are bit more than 5 grams in a teaspoon. Thanks all Paul
