Here's one I saw in Bulgaria this past spring.

In a similar vein, I am amused by signs I have seen which I classify as "I know what you mean but that is not what you said."

For example:

On a highway the sign read, "BE PREPARD TO STOP" as if there is a time when we need not be prepared to stop?

At the entrance to a two lane car wash, "USE BOTH LANES." Now, I can use EITHER lane but not both lanes.

In an office building, "FIRE DOOR. ALWAYS KEEP CLOSED." If it were always to be kept closed, why have a door? What they really mean is "do not leave open."

Anyone seen similar things?

STOP
Men Working

has always been a favorite of mine, and not appreciated if you comply

I saw another amusing road sign today. I was traveling on a three lane portion of I70 and the sign read, "Left Lane Ends, 1 Mile." After I drove the mile, the road reduced to two lanes but there was still a left and right lane. The lane that really ended was the center lane. (I know, pedantic!)
