I recently came across a Italian floor corker for 20 bucks and it is a little dirty to say the least. Rust on the bottom of the feet and the bottle base. I plan on disassembling brushing all the rust off cleaning the entire thing repainting and reassembling.

My question is, when reassembling what and where should be greased? Any specific special type of grease should be used?

I would lube it anywhere there is metal to metal contact of moving parts. The only place where you should use a food grade lubricant is on the iris.

One other suggestion, if it is available to you, I would have the metal parts powder metal coated rather than painting. It is a more durable process and will have less chipping and wear.
