Making DBSP with 4 fruit blend and heard that raisons will increase tannin/mouth feel. I added a 1lb box of dark raisons in a fruit bag and am wondering in a 5 gallon batch if they raise SG much? The starting SG is 1.074 and I'm hoping it will raise to 1.080 or so. Thoughts?

They might, but not for the reasons you are looking for. They do add solids to the must, which raise SG. I would also say that they add some sugar as well, so that part of the raising SG is what you are after, higher ABV.

I am actually after a heavier mouth feel but when I added my sugar it wasn't quite as high as it should be but I was afraid the raisons might really jack it up. Glad to hear it won't drive it up too much!
