I have a WE Coastal Red bulk aging. It's already been stabilized, sorbated, cleared etc. I know everything was fine on Saturday but today I noticed the airlock was missing. My wines are kept under a shelf in the laundry room and something or someone must have knocked it off. Is there anything I should do? Is this wine now ready for the drain?

I agree. Replace the bung, wait a couple of days, then taste it. It really all depends on the wine itself as much as the volume of wine that sat open.

I agree as well. If was topped up properly and had proper amounts of SO2 you should be fine given the short amount of time the airlock was off

Racked today and added some additional kmeta. Took a taste and I'm relieved to find no traces of oxidation. Wine tastes good for being so young. By Xmas this should be a great way to celebrate the holiday with my friends and family. Cheers!
