Lemon Juice question

Has anyone started off using only half the amount (48 oz) of lemon juice at the begining and then adding the other 48 oz when you rack it into the secondary ? Will it change the taste of the wine?
 
I havent done that exactly but i dont think it would change the flavor much. There isnt any sugar in the lemon juice but the fermentation acts like a blender and mixes everything together when its really bubbling strong in the primary. Sounds like a good reason to experiment. Try it and let us know!
 
I wait until it is done fermenting before I add any lemon juice.
 
Ok cool, I figured if i waited until I racked it and added the lemon juice it would take the place of the slurry I left in the bucket so I wouldnt have to add water to top it off.
