Who

used all of their cleaning supply's to try to get the goooo out of their carboys left over from Elderberries and then thought LETS TRY VEGGIE OIL it's a cleaning solution right?

I don't know who but thanks for your outside of the box thinking :b

Thanks Steve

Just encountered the same thing with elderberry...YUK! Veg. oil or I have used "Goo Gone" and it works well.

The problem is that the sediment is all sticky and as it moves around the container as you clean it it sticks again somewhere else.

Coating it with an oil substance will inhibit it from sticking again.

Follow up with a basic soap solution and spray off with a lil sulfite and water.

I did sacrifice a bucket to the trash rather than waste the time cleaning it, I have many.

I used a steam juicier

The slime was minimal but I did need to clean the primary

I would think that the amount of dawn dish soap that I used at first would have stopped the slime from moving and re-sticking.

Either way.....hats off to whoever discovered the solution
