And about time. No more wild guessing. I've 2 gallon zip-lock bags of Huckleberries in the freezer, and I've absolutely no idea what their weight is. All my wine making has been volume measurements which is a poor or no substitute for weighing in cooking or wine making.

In the past, I was aiming low thinking just want to get close enough. For the first batch of wine that was okay, but entering the 3rd season of DIY Wine, it's time to become more competent. :db
 
Its going to make it easier to duplicate any batches you like. Also will let you add or subtract fruit for the amount of flavor you get out of it. Never ending cycle of buying more equipment. Arne.
 
Yup! Once you figure out that this is something you want to do yearly, its time to start investing. Wine making with caveman tools, yields just satisfactory results.
