Hydrometer Help

Hi it's my first time making wine and it's been a week in the primary. I'm looking at the hydrometer and it looks like 0.940 to me but now that I look online I'm thinking it's really 0.994 which would make more sense since it's in the "RED" wine area. I've attached a photo and made an arrow where the measurement was. Maybe it's just my hydrometer that should say 0.990 instead of 0.90 ???

I'm sorry if this has been asked a thousand times.

It is reading .994. If you look at how they marked the hydrometer from 1.000 and up., its the same. they have 1.000 then 10 and not 1.010
