HELP, I'm loosing a vine.

I've got 18 scuppernoogs that I planted last year they are all doing great except one. The leaves leaves are hanging down and drooping and proably starting to dry. It has a small dark section about the size of a quarter on the trunk that looks like charcole. Is it black rot? If it is what do I do? I also planted some merlot and cabernet this year, did it catch something from one of them. The cabs haven't done anything yet, 6 out of 10 of the melots have leaves. There are just too msany diseases out there to diagnose your problem with a description. A picture would help a lot.

sometimes you just can't keep them all, 80% to 90% is a good rate to have. Post a photo, we'll see what we can do.

Also I have a 2 hound dogs one of them pees on my vines sometimes, I don't know if that has anything to do with it but I've heard people that don't grow vines say it might.
