Glycerin in my barrel

one of the tweaks I really like is the addition of some glycerin. Is it ok to add before rotating my wine to the barrel or should I wait till it comes out of the barrel before adding?

I don't add it until just before bottling.

I don't have a barrel but I added 4oz Glyercine to 5gal carboy of CC Arg Malbec kit recently and decided to just rack again and bulk age another 2 months before bottling. Most say to bottle right away, but hope it's not that big of a deal.
