    1st try at pear wine

    yes freeze you can leave the seeds in and the skin on them. Don't add water use streight juice. This will give you a wonderful pear flavor. I usually try to have 2 kinds of pears when possible like a bartlet and a cooking pear but it is not hard set rule.

    The cherry is fermenting like gang busters and has an awsum cherry aroma. The pomegranate has slowed to almost a stop. So all is well in Iowa.

    need new fermenter

    Up date on ice chest fermenter. One big advantage to the ice chest is it realy holds the temp good. The temp of the must has held at a stable 76 dispite the fact the room temp has droped to 64. Then during the day when the room got to 79 it was still at 76 in the fermenter.

    Just pitched the yeast on 6 gal cherry ( pie cherries). Yesterday I transfered the white grape-Pomegranate to secondary (3 gal.) I have some choke cherries, Wild grapes,& Wild plums still in the freezer that I hope to start next week.

    strawberry wine

    chocklet strawberry is verrrrry good. Use 1/2 cup of hershies cocoa per galon. 1cup of the must inblender add cocoa slowely while blending at slow speed. then return to primary and fermint as normal
