    Scuppernong recipe needed

    ok i was given 5 gallons of scuppernong cider from abbott farms. 10 half gallon jugs http://www.abbottfarmsonline.com/ciders.php what would you recommend recipe wise to make a 5 gallon batch, best yeast or additives and such to make the perfect batch. I have the cider and will buy the rest...

    what is needed for wine kits?

    other than a hydrometer is there any other equipment i sould buy when making a selection estate washington valley resling kit. would i need any other test equipment?

    chocolate port kits?

    i think i have decided to try a chocolate port, i will be ready to but around the first week of september. Are they hard to find this late in the season? I would like the chocolate rasberry port, but any chocolate port will work as this will be my first one. any recommendations?

    What grapes to get?

    ok, My mom lives in washington and my brother in Oregon. They have agreed to send me 20+ pounds of grapes from local vineyards when they are ready in a short time. Question is what types should i ask for and what can i make with the different types.

    drinking cloudy wine

    does anyone drink cloudy wine? or bottle it? I have a cider that i really dont think will ever clear, it was made with unfiltered apple juice (cider) so it was never clear from the start.

    volcano wine?

    ok i added some pot. sorbate to my 1 gallon watermelon wine to aid clearing,( its was started on 5/20/11) when i did it erupted like a volcano, it also does this if i add sugar. any ideas?

    clearing problem

    i have 2 1 gallon batches 1 watermelon, 1 50% apple cider, 50% muscadine cider. both started on 5/20/11. neither will clear, only the top 3 inchs in the carboy is clear. I have tried isinglass and it did not work, temps are 73. Any ideas on how to clear?
