Through a long story that I'm not going to get into, I have this vacuum bottle filler (primarily used for bottling wine). I have cider I'm wanting to bottle, and I'd hate to throw the thing out. Can a vacuum bottle filler be used for carbonated products? If not, but with a little modification...
What are some TTB/ATF approved alcohol measuring instruments? Price points? Looking for something close to a digital Alla Ebulliometer, but TTB/ATF approved.
Actually working on cider. I know cider production is significantly more similar to wine production than beer. So I'm trying to approach it as if it is wine. However, I don't mind natural carbonation... If that changes things with whether to use CO2 or not?
The "closed tank" is a style of steel fermenter. It still has an airlock.
N2 = Nitrogen. It is an inert gas.
Side question: What pressure should the co2 be put in the tank at? For N2 I read that you want to regulate it at around ~0.5 psi in a closed top steel fermenter (for safety?)... Would...
Sorry, haven't had a chance to call yet.
Yeah, I need to cut down on time, because I'm going to be acquiring more barrels, and thus, need to do more liquid from the fermenting tank to the barrels in less time. What are some good vacuum or air pumps?
I like the pump you sent me the link to on Amazon, and I think I can forgo the variable speed, but I would like to find one that can pump even more gph. Know of one like that, that have the pressure sensor, but can maybe do 200+ gph?
Thanks!
Cool, thanks for the links.
So if I hooked a barrel topping gun on to a hose hooked up to that pump and turned the lever/knob on the gun to stop the flow, would the pump sense the cessation of outflow and turn off or would I cause a dangerous pressure build up since the must has no where to go?
