In California, they store in underground caverns in barrels.

I keep them in what they came in. Spice jars would work. Penzy's Spices (https://www.penzeys.com/shop/fun-stuff/) sells spice jars in various sizes.

I like using tupperware for some additives and glass jars for others. Consider modular tupperware containers if space is an issue, it helps me...
