Just pitched the yeast this morning on a double batch of Chocolate Raspberry Apres. It came with a package of EC1118 and a package of Bourgovin RC212. Right or wrong I only used the RC212. If anyone wants to chime in to tell me why that was a mistake I'm willing to listen but my limited reading on the matter suggests that I'll need to be patient and monitor the progress carefully but the end result may be better flavour extraction and will likely be a longer ferment.

Comments please. This is the first Apres kit I have ever done.
 
I’ve done a couple of kits that came with both of those yeasts. The most recent was a WE Fiero (Pimativo) kit. I pitched the RC212 and held back the 1118 in case it needed help. It did not and fermented dry with just the one yeast. It is in bulk aging since July but early tasting is very good.
Just my experience.
