Kind of a random question I started a mead and I am fermenting it straight into the carboy just so I can let it sit without having to worry about racking it right away and make sure it's completely secure from any fruit flies. The only issue is I had some yeast get stuck to the top of the carboy on the inside is it going to rot? Do I have to somehow find a way to try to wipe it off there?ImageUploadedByWine Making1497722684.074526.jpg

just remove the airlock and wipe the inside of the carboy. the amount of time you have the airlock removed will not cuause a problem with your fermentation.
