w.e french merlot i am on step 3 and inside of carboy above the wine level there is white stains on the glass is this normal?? this is my first kit so just wondering

I have never done a kit so what is step 3? Could the stains be from Camden tablets (residue)?

As I said could it be a residue from Potassium Meta.? Can you reach inside the carboy with a paper towel with a little Pot. Meta. sprayed on it and wipe the white film off. Don't touch the juice though if you can help it.

Would it be visible to us if you posted a photo here?

How well did you stir the additives? How long ago did you add them?

It's probably not K-meta because that's the first additive of three added.

Steve

What did you clean the carboy with because left over oxycleaners like C-Brire will do this!
As long as your having white stains and not brown stains! :slp
